The organ at St. Mary's was built by William Hill and Sons in 1889. Unlike many other organs, it has survived more or less intact and unaltered since completion.

In 2004, the congregation of St. Mary's started fundraising for the instrument to be repaired. Restoration work commenced in January 2010 and was completed in July. The organ is now back to its original Victorian condition and has amazed the many hundreds of people who have heard it so far. Now the work is complete we want the organ to be used and enjoyed not only by our congregation, but by people in our local community as well.
We're planning lots of events over the coming months to celebrate the completion of the project and everyone is invited!
